Restorative Services
Bringing Back Your Smile
Life often takes its toll on teeth, causing chips, fractures, breaks, or even tooth loss. But such problems don’t have to deter you from your long-term dental health. Our approach to restorative care is to help you bring back a strong, healthy smile as soon as possible, then work with you to maintain its integrity over the long run.
Our practice focuses on the artistic capability of dentistry by using metal-free technology. This allows the doctor to create highly aesthetic crowns, bridges, and inlays/Onlays that have a natural, lifelike appearance. In addition, tooth-colored fillings that eliminate the need for silver material are provided by Dr. Fung with excellent results.
Restorative Composite Dental Fillings (nonmetal options)
Tooth-Colored Composite “resin” Restorations
In the past, dentists filled and sealed cavities exclusively using silver and mercury amalgam. Unfortunately, these fillings (or restorations) often weaken teeth due to the large amount of the original tooth that has to be removed leading to fracture of tooth structure. Modern dentistry has turned to composite fillings as a strong, safe, and more natural-looking alternative. Composite fillings are made of a porcelain-like material that actually bonds to the tooth for a tight seal. They are strong and are color-matched to the natural tooth, making them “invisible”.
Periodontal Treatment (Gum Therapy)
Eliminate periodontal (Gum) Disease & gum abscesses.
A tremendous percentage of the general population has some level of chronic gum disease without even realizing it. That’s because it’s a silent problem that often goes undetected until it’s a serious problem that can lead not only to tooth loss but also to other systemic health conditions such as heart disease and stroke.
