Crowns and Bridges
Crowns
Crowns are made to fit over an original tooth, particularly one that is decayed, damaged or cracked. Crowns resemble natural tooth appearance. While made of a variety of different materials, porcelain is preferred, as it gives a more natural appearance. Now with the most updated materials, we can achieve custom-made esthetic results.
Bridges
This dental device helps fill a space previously occupied by a tooth. Bridges serve to prevent the shifting of teeth around the now open space. Shifted teeth can lead to occlusion (dentistry term for bite) and/or jaw problems, as well as periodontal disease. Bridges also safeguard existing teeth by keeping them in place, which serves to maintain your healthy, radiant smile.
A bridge is a filler tooth that is attached to two crowns that are fitted over existing teeth. These crowns work to hold the bridge in place. A bridge is permanently fixed in place.
